Winter's Melancholy

With shorter days and longer nights comes an increase in melancholy for me. Winter has always been harder for me mentally than other seasons. When people are gathering and surrounded by family, I can’t help the feeling of isolation and sadness that comes over me. I chose the darkest blue labradorite I have to represent this “blue” period for me. Some shine brightly and others are just there. I wanted to keep them this way. Some days I glow and others I exist.
And that is okay.

This strand is 32" in length featuring labradorite and black spinel. It is finished with a labradorite pyramid.
